Since 2023, Cape Dunstans has led infrastructure delivery for Centurion Logistics’ $32 million rigid and prime mover truck electrification project in Hazelmere.
Co-funded by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency and Centurion Logistics, the project supports a groundbreaking trial of 30 electric heavy vehicles and is establishing a national benchmark for lower-emissions heavy transport.
Project delivery included:
Standalone microgrids incorporating 4.4 MW of rooftop solar generation and 10.3 MWh of battery-energy storage.
A hybrid power-supply system with diesel generation available to supplement renewable energy and provide operational reliability.
Smart energy and fleet-management software providing real-time monitoring, supporting lower emissions and reducing operating costs.
