The scope of work for this contract included primary crusher design, fabrication, installation, operation and ROM Management.
Cape was required to design, fabricate, transport, and assemble a turnkey primary crushing facility for the contract. The facility was installed in two stages feeding directly into the client processing facility.
Stage I consisted of a trailer mounted electric jaw crusher with a 120m overland conveyor capable of 1,000tph.
Stage II consisted of a second trailer mounted jaw and 80m overland conveyor to a second feed point, and included Stage I tying across to the new overland conveyor. The new total combined output increased to 2,000tph.
Once operational, the contract required Cape to manage and operate the ROM and crushing circuit producing a feed for the RTIO processing facility of -200mm. Feed of the crusher was done using a CAT992 front end loader.
