Pinastar Parade Gas Main
Gas Project: ATCO Gas (Ellenbrook WA)
The project consisted of the installation of approximately 2700 metres of DN150mm CL150 HP Steel gas main along Pinaster Parade and Lord Street, Ellenbrook – from the corner of existing HP085 at Pinaster Parade going south to Park Street, Henley Brook.
A total of 10 drill shots were expedited of which the lengths and locations included numerous street crossings:
• Henley Street Crossing – 54m
• Pinaster Parade Crossing – 45m
• Forestview Blv Crossing – 45m
• Gnangara Road Crossing as well as a bus lay by – 157m
A cost effective and environmentally friendly approach was taken and six drill shots were done alongside Pinaster parade of 84m; 72m; 60m; 72m; 120m and 98 metre lengths in lieu of the open trenching method. Various services such as HP gas mains, water mains, sewer, HV services and natural vegetation were encountered within the area and Cape’s experienced and skilled drillers successfully completed the works with no strikes to the essential services or the plant root systems.
