Cape Dunstans delivered crushing and screening services for Mount Gibson Iron at its Koolan Island operation, producing more than 7.5 million tonnes of material over a two-year contract.
Operating around the clock, the team processed iron ore to the client’s required volumes and product specifications. The remote island location required coordinated logistics and dedicated maintenance support to maintain production and minimise equipment downtime.
Project delivery included:
24-hour, seven-day crushing and screening operations to meet the client’s production requirements.
Production of direct shipping ore (DSO), with fines smaller than 6.3 mm reaching peak output of 160,000 tonnes per month.
A fully operational on-site workshop and maintenance team, supported by logistics planning to keep equipment operating throughout the contract.
