TSF & Ponds Project: Fortescue Metals Group (Mulga Downs WA)

Cape was contracted to build a series of three settlement and transfer ponds across both the Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek mine sites:

• Kangaroo Turkey Nest
• Norkfolk Transfer Pond
• CC2 Settlement Pond

The scope of works included:

• Dewatering below the water table
• Excavation, placement, compaction earthworks as per drawings
• Supply and install 1.5mm HDPE Liner and Geotextile underlay
• Supply and install suction piping, including supports and vortex breaker as per drawings.
• Supply and install miscellaneous items including pond egress safety equipment, life buoys, level indicators, fencing.
• Construction verification and handover as per SOW
