Expertise

Large-scale mine dewatering, borefield and water-transfer infrastructure.

Through KCU, our 50/50 partnership with Kurtarra, Cape Dunstans supports one of the largest mine dewatering programs in the Southern Hemisphere.

Over the past five years, the team has consistently installed approximately 100 km of dewatering pipeline annually across demanding operational environments at Fortescue’s Chichester Hub.

Project delivery included:

HDPE and steel deposition, decant and borefield pipelines supported by extensive valving, manifolds and pumping-station infrastructure.

Construction and connection of approximately 100 abstraction and injection bores each year.

Major packages including 21 km of DN620 pipeline for Long Cocos Stage 2 and 14.3 km of 630 mm pipeline with 15 injection units for the Zone G Injection Borefield.
