The scope of works undertaken by Cape included the installation of the backbone communications cables required for the Signalling and Communication Systems for the Roy Hill rail line. The project involved ploughing over 500km (266km of duel fibre) through the Pilbara and across environmentally sensitive areas as part of the construction of the brand new rail line for the mine to port.
The project took 11 months to complete with a peak workforce of 70 on site across a large project area in excess of 200km in length. Two EcoPloughs were utilised to execute this project.
