Borefield Pipeline Installation Mt Keith Nickel Operation

Water Project: BHP Billiton (Wiluna WA)

This was a 35km pipeline installation as part of a major upgrade to site processing facility. To comply with environmental conditions, the pipeline had to be buried the whole 35km with a trenching machine being utilised for this. The poly pipe was welded in compliance to the conditions set out in the Scope of Works.

Once welded, 50m poly pipe lengths were placed on trailer carts then towed to the trench. Here they were welded to existing lines then picked up and placed into the trench utilising an excavator.
The excavator would then place material over the pipe until it was completely covered and erected signage.

The project was completed achieving Zero Harm, on time, and on budget.
