Social Responsibility

Protect people. Deliver with certainty.

Cape Dunstans manages social performance through a disciplined approach to safety, quality and workforce engagement, embedded in how we plan and deliver every project.

Safety, Quality & Assurance

Planned. Controlled. Delivered.

Safety and quality are managed through the same system, reducing risk, preventing rework and ensuring consistent, reliable outcomes.

Planning-led

Risk is addressed early through detailed methodology and work sequencing, supporting safe and predictable delivery.

Controlled execution

Our self-perform model provides greater control on site, ensuring consistent safety and quality standards.

Disciplined methods

Proven construction techniques and well-managed plant and equipment support safe, compliant and fit-for-purpose outcomes.

Continuous improvement

Performance is monitored through our Integrated Management System, with clear reporting and ongoing improvement.

Community & Workforce

Local participation. Long-term outcomes.

Cape Dunstans supports the communities and regional areas in which we operate through local employment, procurement and active participation in initiatives that strengthen health, safety and community wellbeing.

We are committed to creating pathways into employment and building regional capability. Through the CFC Group’s Frank Cardaci Traineeship Program, we provide opportunities for disadvantaged and marginalised young people to enter the workforce and develop long-term careers.

Our partnership through KCU (link to KCU page), a 50/50 joint venture with Kurtarra Pty Ltd, is central to our approach to Indigenous engagement. Through KCU, we support increased Indigenous workforce participation, training and meaningful engagement with Traditional Owner groups, contributing to stronger local outcomes across the regions in which we operate.

This is complemented by our work with the CFC Foundation and other community partnerships, reflecting our focus on delivering long-term social value alongside project outcomes.

What this means for our clients

  • Reduced risk of incidents, delays and rework
  • Greater certainty in program and delivery outcomes
  • Safe, well-managed projects in community and stakeholder-sensitive environments
