KCU JV Wins FMG Ponds Projects
The Kurtarra Cape Joint Venture (KCU JV) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a water ponds construction contract with Fortescue Metals Group (FMG).
KCU JV will undertake the construction a Turkeys Nest, Transfer Pond, and Settlement Pond at FMG’s Cloudbreak and Christmas Creak operations in the Pilbara.
The projects will run concurrently and are to be completed by March 2018, three months after mobilisation.
Cape’ Operations Manager Peter Wyatt said this was a great win for the KCU JV.
“This is a great project award for the KCU JV and further demonstrates our ability to add value to our client FMG”, Mr Wyatt said.
“These ponds are a natural extension of the dewatering servicers we have been performing across FMG sites over the past 5 years.”
“The team will be working hard to achieve the limited mobilisation timeframe over Christmas and we look forward to continuing our relationship with FMG.”
